Week 6- 6/29- 7/5

June 29th 7:45 pm  Michael is sitting here in the living room next to me in the reclining chair this evening eating a few slices
of pepperoni pizza.  I asked him if he had anything he wanted to say on the website and this is what he said:  "Thank you for
signing my website and thank you for praying.  The praying is really working."

He's not thrown up all day today.  He was nauseas, but the new meds are keeping him from actually getting sick.  We are so
happy about this.  He hadn't been up at all cause he was getting dizzy, but about half an hour ago, he came out and
reclined in Chris' chair.  He wanted pizza, so Chris ordered him one.  Nate and he are sharing it.  He's already on his 3rd
slice.  I agree with Michael...the prayer are really working!

June 30th 8:00 pm Michael was sick this morning because he didn't want to wake me up to get him his medicine.  I felt bad
for him.  He has so many bottles of stuff though that we don't give them to him as he doesn't know all the names or what
they all do.  I told him next time to wake me up.  After he took his medicine, he has been up a couple of times.  Lisa (from the
website) called and visited with Michael today.  He is really loving her and her words of encouragement.  She is trying to get
him to come to England someday.  He talked about it quite awhile today.  He wants to go to London.  So, Lisa, someday you
will have a house guest!

July 2nd 8:35 pm  Sorry we didn't write anything last night, but there wasn't much else to report other than Kelcie is back!!!
She walked in the door and I said Thank You God!  She spent the night here last night.  She was so jet-lagged and messed
up, she fell asleep around 8:00 waiting for dinner to be delivered.  Today, she's here with Michael again and his friend Jesse
came to visit.  Michael does so much better when Kelcie and friends are here.  He's been eating better at night.  He's having
a harder time in the mornings for some reason and then as the day goes on, he feels better.

I spent a good part of today re-doing Taylor and Nathan's room.  We have some bunk bed type beds I am picking up at IKEA
tomorrow.  There isn't a bed on the bottom though, it's open space for a desk or a chair or whatever.  I thought it would
make their room feel a little bigger.  They boys aren't convinced yet though.  They weren't sure about the sheets and
blankets I picked for them, but it will all come together and they will hopefully like it better than it is right now.

Happy Birthday to Aunt Christy too!  Happy Anniversary to Uncle Scott and Aunt Natalie too!  Congrats to Kerrie and her
fiance Mike for getting married this upcoming weekend!  Sorry we are missing all of this in person.

July 4th 10:15 AM  I just told Chris that this doesn't feel like a holiday to me.  We usually are in Idaho for the 4th where the
kids can do fireworks with my crazy relatives (Steve and bottle rockets come to mind).  Even the couple of years we were
here in California, we did a big party and then went to watch fireworks parked on the side of the road near Great America or
here at Shoreline.  We probably won't do that tonight though.  Michael gets up for awhile, but it pretty much tires him out.
To sit in the car forever in the traffic to get home is crazy.  Chris had to sit in the traffic last night after he took Taylor and
Nathan to a movie.  It took him over an hour to get home when it is usually 10 minutes or quicker.

Michael is fighting a headache this morning.  He went to Target with Kelcie and her family last night and when he came
home he said he had gotten a headache at the store.  He can take Tylenol for it and that usually works, but so far not today.
I think he will stay in bed and rest today.   Chris is watching baseball on Tv.  I asked him if that was his plan for the day and
he asked if I was gonna boss him around.  (I've been bossing Taylor and Nathan around all morning getting them to clean
the house).  So, I'm on the computer...Chris is glued to the TV and Taylor and Nate are trying to avoid me!

July 5th 8:30 PM  Michael had to go to the hospital today because he had a lot of blood in the naphrostomy bag (the bag
that drains his kidney).  He evidently pulled it out of the kidney partway.  It wasn't pulled out of his back at all though.  So,
they put in a new tube and put it in further.  The good news is that the Dr that did the procedure said that in his opinion it
looked like a good possibility that he would be able to take the tube out next week after the CT scan.  He said that on the
xrays and ultrasound he used to replace the tubed, the kidney was open and clear.  Yeah!  The bad news is his back is
hurting again because it is just like when he had it put in to begin with.  Hopefully he will get it out next week though.

He is still eating good.  He wanted pizza again tonight.  That I am so thankful for.
