Week16- 9/7-9/13

Sept 9 7:30 am  I am getting ready to take Nate to school and then back to the hospital.  Thank God today is the last
day.  I am worn out this time.  I went home early last night and left Michael alone for a couple of hours.  I felt bad, but I
was so tired.  Chris finished working on the booth for the show around 10 pm and then came home to shower and go
stay the night with Michael.  He should get to come home first thing in the morning.  The nurses have been back to
being the greatest people (I haven't seen that nurse that drove me crazy again).  Michael ate great and was feeling a
bit nauseas, but not bad.  He was watching a movie when I left last night.  I almost finished a baby blanket I am making
while I am there.  I'll write more tomorrow when he gets home.

Sept 12th 7:30 pm  Sorry!!!!  My internet went down because Michael spilled water on my modem and I had to wait
until today to go switch it out!!!!  So...don't blame me!

To catch you up:  Michael did great in the hospital.  Never got sick.  He came home very early Saturday morning, and
then got sick.  He was sick all day Saturday and even though he tried to eat, he would lose it.  Sunday started out the
same way, but by Sunday night, he was keeping food down.  Today, he slept until 12:30 and has been fine all day.

Chris and I both worked the home and garden show both Saturday and Sunday.  It was a great show with one of the
best displays we've ever done.  Lots of compliments and a lot of good leads.  The guys did a remarkable job putting it
together.

We go in for our ultra-sound in the morning and will find out if it's a boy or girl (if he/she cooperates)!  It's like
Christmas Eve for me!  I don't care which it is, but have held off buying anything until I know.  I did finish my little
blanket.  Nothing brilliant as I am a novice crocheter.  A simple receiving blanket.  I've picked out two different cribs
depending on if it's a boy or girl.  Chris wants to redo our room in October and organize it better.  We probably won't
buy any large things until December or so.  (Maybe even around Thanksgiving if my parents get to come visit).

Michael goes in Thursday for a blood draw and if his white cells are high, he can have friends over.  He's had a
couple over already, but not more than one at a time.

We are watching the Giants play on tv.  Barry Bonds came back tonight!  You should have heard Chris and the boys
and I screaming and clapping when we thought he hit a homerun!  It was a thing of beauty!!!!  Now Chris says his
throat is sore from yelling!!!  It was very cool to see Barry take the field to warm up before the game.  A young boy
came out with him and the announcers explained that the young man has cancer.  He wrote a letter to Barry to
encourage him and Barry told him that if he went back on the field this year, he was coming with him.  He threw
several balls back and forth with Barry before the game started.  It was really special, especially for me...the
emotional, hormonal, pregnant mom that cries at everything.

Sept 13th 6:20 pm  IT'S A GIRL!!!  YEAH!  Chris said it took every feminine thing in his body to make a girl and now
he is 100% man.  I was really surprised and happy!  Chris is happy and Michael is really excited. (He's so excited, he's
beating up Taylor right now.  He went to Target and got a couple of cd's and video games again today.)
Anyway...back to baby...Chris and I agreed that we want to name her Hannah.  We looked up on the internet what it
meant and we found "gift from God".  We didn't plan on having Hannah, but with this timing and the age difference
with Nate and Hannah, we really feel like she is a gift from God.  Everything was good with the ultrasound also.  She's
healthy and very active.  The technician said she will probably be tall also as her femur bone is long.  Fits in with the
rest of the family (except for me)!
