Week 19- 9/29-10/5
Update: 9:35 pm  Michael got checked in and was given his chemo treatments earlier than most times.  Yeah!  He
started the one that usually starts after 10 pm at 8 pm this time.  That means he will be done by about 10:30 pm and
will be able to sleep all night without being disturbed.  I am home now.  Kelsie wanted to spend the night with him.  That
was fine with me as my legs were really achey tonight for some reason.  I really appreciate the break.  I am going to
work at the store from 9 am to 1 pm tomorrow and then go back to the hospital to take Michael lunch.  He always
sleeps until noon, so by the time I get there, he should be hungry.  Good timing!  Well...I am going to bed.  I'm tired!

Oct 4th 7:25  Michael did great at handling the chemo this time.  He even got finished early last night and got to come
home around 10:30 last night.  It was good for all of us to sleep in our own beds last night.  Kelsie stayed the first two
nights with Michael and I stayed the 3rd night.  I got a headache during the night that night and still have it tonight...two
nights later.  I am so glad we got to come home last night though.

Tonight, he's walking around.  He gets dizzy sometimes, but overall feels good.  He's doing so well at handling all this.  I
am very proud of him.

Also...here is an update from Lisa:
Hi everyone,

just to let you know that Oli's surgery went well today.
He was in theatre for over 10 hours - poor little mite - but it looks as though all is well & it has been successful.

He's still very groggy but is moving his legs which is great news after working so long by the spine - risk of paralysis
was high - but we serve a higher God!!!

Thanks so much for your prayers.

Please continue to pray for us as we learn to care for Heather.

God Bless,
Love Lis xxxxx

Sept 29th 12:15 pm We are off to the hospital, but first wanted to pass on this prayer request from Lisa.:

Hiya All,

My apologies for the mass e mail but this is a prayer request close to my heart so I wanted to ask for as much prayer
as I could possibly manage!!!

My 2 year old nephew, Oli, is going in for major surgery next week.  On Oct 4th, he will undergo a massive operation
to insert a rod into his back to gradually straighten the curvature of the spine that he has. Without this surgery, he is
not predicted to live past 20.

Please pray that the surgeons hands will be guided & that Oli will come thru the operation with no side effects, but be
healed of this condition.

While Oli will be in ICU for a week after the operation, & then in a regular ward for another week, we are giving respite
care to Oli's sister, Heather.  Heather is severely disabled.  She has part of her brain missing - or at least, not properly
formed, & cannot sit, stand, feed or do anything for herself.  Despite all this she is a delightful 10 year old little girl &
we love her dearly.  Please pray for us as we undertake to care for her through this time, that God would equip us for
all we need to do to make her stay as rewarding as possible.  Please pray that God will miraculously heal her too
whilst she is with us (or in fact anytime He chooses!!) as we can soak her in prayer at home & at church - to His glory!!

Also please pray for our special friend Michael, who you have all heard so much about over the past few weeks.
Michael is doing wonderfully well with all the prayer support he is getting - but he needs us even more right now. The
tumours are now 70% reduced!!!  Praise God!  He is about to undergo his final chemo treatment for a while.  please
pray that when the doctors do the tests after this treatment that they will find the tumours gone completely to the
Lords Glory!!  Check out his website for more details & regular updates. www.michaelschriner.com

thank you so much for your prayers & support, may God bless you 100 fold for your support at this time.

I attach a picture of Oli, Heather & our 3 taken whilst we were on holiday in Cornwall this year (- Oil is in the
pushchair!) for you to see who you are praying for!!
