Week 22- 10/20-26

Oct 22nd  We drove from home to Universal City (Hollywood).  We didn't leave home until around 11 am so we didn't
get into the hotel until about 6:30 pm.  We had a good time listening to music and singing all the way.  Chris and I
turned the music we like up loud and then the boys each used their own music devices to block out our music!  We
were tired, so we didn't go out tonight, but ordered room service and went to bed early!!!

Oct 23rd  Today is my birthday (Shanna) and for it...we went to breakfast at Mel's Diner.  This is the diner that was in
the movie American Graffiti.  The food was good, but the service wasn't the best.  It was fun to see all the memorabilia
on the walls though.  After breakfast, we walked down Hollywood Blvd.  We saw a lot of the famous stars on the
sidewalk.  We then walked down to the Chinese Mann Theater and the Kodak Theater where they hold the Academy
Awards.  It was a lot of fun.  There were different characters around and the boys got their pictures taken with several
(Chris included).

After that, we bought a map of the stars homes.  We found so many, but the highlights for Michael and the other boys
was Ozzy Osbourne's house and The Playboy Mansion as well as Polly Shores house.  They got pictures of the
homes and then they also saw The Comedy Store (owned by Polly Shore's mom).

That took most of the afternoon.  Then in the evening we went to Universal Studios City Walk.  It's a bunch of fun
stores and eateries.  We went to a small bowling alley and Chris and the boys bowled.  None of them broke 100!
Chris was winning at 80 points and then in the 10th frame...Michael threw his first strike...followed up by a gutter ball
and then to top it off....he needed a strike to tie Chris....and HE GOT IT!!!!  Can you believe it!  He was so jazzed!

We finished off the night with dinner at Tony Roma's. (I skipped dinner and went straight to dessert!  It's my birthday!)

Oct 24th  We went to Universal Studios all day.  I walked all over the place and couldn't ride any rides!  The boys and
Chris had a good time though, which was important!  That's the point of the trip!  We were so tired!  But...Michael,
Taylor and Nathan went back to City Walk on their own and went bowling again!  Michael won all three games and
finally broke 100 with a 116.  Good job Michael!

Oct 25th  Today, we went to Warner Brother's studio and did a 2 1/2 hour tour.  It was great!  We got to see a lot of
sets for movies and tv shows.  I especially enjoyed the set to Joey.  Michael enjoyed seeing all the different sets to
The Gilmore girls (which he watches sometimes with Kelsie).  He took a bunch of pictures, so once I figure out how to
download them on the computer, I will...I forgot to bring cd player for my laptop (it's an external cd player).

We then came over to Disneyland and got settled in.  We went to dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen.  We
finished early enough that Taylor and Nate went to see The Corpse Bride and now Chris, Michael and Taylor are
going to see Doom.  Nate is going out to DownTown Disney in search of dessert).  I am going to unpack and go to
bed!!! Too much fun for me!  Tomorrow, we will go into Disneyland and California Adventure.  Michael is taking lots of
pictures like I said and we are using his new camera to take lots of pictures of him too for you all to see.

I got an email today from our landlord.  Her name is Bee Shtulman.  Bee's husband died last night.  I hope you will all
say a prayer for her and her family as they are such good people.  She faithfully checks Michael's website and keeps
up with us.
