December 17th  We met with the surgeon yesterday.  His name is Dr. Godfrey and he is a very nice man.  He
kept saying how impressed he is with Michael.   He said his goal is to get to the point that Michael looks back on
this year and is able to say "What a year and I won't ever have to repeat it!".

He is going to remove the 3 cm tumor that is left in the body cavity.  It is close to the main arteries, but he said that
it should be a relatively easy surgery compared to some that he has performed.  He is still referring us to a
urology surgeon.  That surgeon will remove the tumor in the testicle.  The two different parts will be done at the
same time.

Dr. Godfrey said that they really think it's necessary to remove what is left of the tumors because in the past
history with this type of cancer, once the chemo wears off, the tumor could begin to grow again and when that
happens, it may not respond to the chemo.  He said that once the tumors are removed, we should feel confident
about Michael's recovery.  He wants to do the surgery in January.  He said he needs Michael to gain some weight
and strength beforehand.
